Religious Studies

in the Department of Philosophy and Religion

Giving

You can support the Religious Studies program in a number of ways.

First, you can contribute to the William Hal Furr Dialogue on Phiilosophy and Religion fund established in honor of Hal Furr, former University of Mississippi Philosophy and Religion professor. This endowment allows the department to invite notable speakers to campus every 3-4 semesters. As the fund grows, the department will be able to establish an annual program.

Second, you can designate any contribution to go to the Chair’s Discretionary Fund which helps meet the various needs of Religious Studies faculty and students. This fund supports student travel to conferences, field trips, social events, etc.

Finally, you can earmark your donation for a specific item you would like to support in the Department. For example, a donation or endowment could fund student travel abroad, build library resources, or provide student scholarships or awards.

Directions for giving to the Religious Studies program are available through the University of Mississippi Foundation at www.umf.olemiss.edu. Checks should be made to the Foundation; credit card and payroll deductions also can be arranged through the Foundation website.
